GDI

Conserving our planet, hectare by hectare

The Green Development Initiative (GDI) is an international response to the CBD Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020. It aims to establish an international, voluntary BioAreas Standard & Registry for accountable, CBD-compliant area management. In so doing, the BioAreas Approach will facilitate increased private sector support for the conservation and responsible use of biodiversity.
